Privacy Policy for Recall Time
Effective date: June 16, 2026 Last updated: June 16, 2026
Recall Time ("the app", "we", "us") is a countdown and reminder app for iPhone, developed by Recall Time. We designed Recall Time to keep your data private: the app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
Summary
- We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data.
- You don't create an account or log in.
- The countdowns you create are stored on your device and, if you're signed in to iCloud, in your own private iCloud account — not on any server we control.
- Notifications are scheduled locally on your device.
- The app contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs.
Information you create
When you use Recall Time you can create countdowns that may include a title, due date, notes, tags, a color, reminder times, and a category (such as birthday, travel, or work). This information is:
- Stored locally on your device, and
- Synced to your private iCloud database (via Apple's CloudKit) when you are signed in to iCloud and iCloud Drive is enabled for Recall Time.
This data is used solely to display your countdowns and to schedule the reminders you ask for. We have no access to it. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party.
iCloud and CloudKit
Recall Time uses Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to back up your countdowns and sync them across your devices. Your data is stored in your private iCloud database, which is accessible only to you through your Apple ID. We cannot read or retrieve it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
If you are not signed in to iCloud, the app still works and stores your data locally on your device only.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Recall Time schedules local notifications on your device to remind you about your countdowns. These are generated on-device and are not sent through, or processed by, any server we operate. You can disable notifications at any time in the iOS Settings app.
What we do not do
- We do not collect or store any personal information on our own servers.
- We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services.
- We do not show advertising.
- We do not include third-party SDKs or trackers.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Data retention and deletion
Your data stays under your control:
- Delete an individual countdown inside the app to remove it.
- Deleting the app removes its locally stored data from that device.
- To remove synced data from iCloud, sign in to iCloud and delete the app's data in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage, or delete the countdowns within the app while signed in.
Children's privacy
Recall Time does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.
Security
Because your data is stored on your device and in your private iCloud account, its security is protected by your device passcode/biometrics and your Apple ID security. We do not maintain copies of your data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this URL. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
